PLN #3
I am still reading the book "Fade" which is the sequel to "Wake" by Lisa McMann this book can relate to any kind of teen because Janie could be in danger or the happiest place in the world she goes through all types of situations no matter who or what it involves. I am beginning to like this book more and more because Janie's character is starting to develop more through out the story. She is becoming more self protected. Janie has to makes a choice to help on a school crime or sit around and watch "I don't need to think about it, sir. Count me in." I can relate to this book because just like Janie I like to do things on my own and just be independent. Janie also isn't independent because she still likes the feeling of having someone take care of her including her boyfriend Cabel ”He stirs Janie's coffee with a stir stick after having prepared it just the way she likes it.” There is also that feeling that she is being taken by a person who cares about her. Janie is the type of girl who likes to experience all things but is a bit shaky about her decisions ”Janie tackles the Stubin files to learn more about her powers.” These quotes show how Janie’s character can change in a blink of an eye. Instead of having multiple split personality she should be herself. She can’t be herself since she is a undercover cop she has to hide part of her life. The only people who know that she is a cop is her captain and her boyfriend. No matter how much she wants to blurt out her secret it isn’t possible. That’s what I think about my book so far.
